Any good trek will include stops at some of the famous valleys, gorges, and villages that give the land much of its stark beauty. The villages of Imlil and around it are one of the most popular stops along the many hiking trails of the High Atlas Mountains. Imlil is a little roadside village that is fairly beautiful regardless of the season. Up the path from Imlil to other villages are groves of apple, cherry, peach and walnut trees; these groves having existed for as far as anyone can remember. These villages are the last stop before the travel guide of Morocco claims that no more villages can be found, but still offers various options for excellent hikes in the area from towns to valleys to mountain peaks and lakes—all these jewels are accessible from this town.
